From October 1st, Austevoll Elektro and SEAM are officially becoming one company. For our customers, it means the same electricians, service engineers, and project leads you already know - now working out of the same toolbox.
Both companies grew up along the same coastline, built on solving real maritime challenges. By uniting hands-on installation craft and rapid service with heavy-duty system integration and smart software, we now have the full toolbox under one roof.
What changes?
Very little day-to-day. You will still reach the same people in Austevoll, on Husøy, and in Bergen. If you need a service tech on board at short notice, or a team to troubleshoot an electrical panel, our response is the same as it always has been.
What does change is the scale of what we can take on together. We’re combining decades of rugged, hands-on experience in the fishing and workboat fleets with advanced engineering in large-scale battery hybrids and control systems.
That gives our customers a partner with the physical capacity to mobilize on short notice, backed by the engineering depth to handle the most demanding projects on the coast.
Building for what’s ahead
Vessels along our coast are evolving fast. By combining our workshop floors, engineering desks, and service bases, we will be even stronger and able to take on full retrofit and newbuild packages without losing our local touch.
As part of our growth after joining the Hanwha group, SEAM is also planning a company name change under the Hanwha brand this coming winter.
Names aside, the work stays the same: dependable marine engineering done by people who know the vessels, the waters, and the industry.
